Editor’s note: San Fran-based pop rockers Train spent a lot of time on the Top 40 charts in the early 2010’s. Hits like “Hey, Soul Sister,” “Drive By,” and “50 Ways to Say Goodbye” made them a staple of alt-rock radio over the past two decades. In addition to the radio hits, they’ve also done the ground work and established themselves as one of the hardest working touring bands out there right now. The core lineup of Pat Monahan (vocals), Jerry Becker (keyboards), and Hector Maldonado (bass) have been together since 2009 with Matt Musty (drums) and Taylor Locke (lead guitar) joining them in recent years. Earlier this year they put out the singles “Brokenhearted” with Gabry Ponte and “Bloom” with Cheat Codes. The band will return to New England on September 27th for at show at The Big E in Springfield. Check out their photos from last month’s show at Mohegan Sun below, courtesy of Mike Von Villas.
