PHOTOS: Pool Kids, Truth Club, PONY in Somerville, MA (09.26.25)
The night was wild at Crystal Ballroom last Friday as fans jumped around and yelled the lyrics to Pool Kids’ set. The night began with PONY, whose glittery power pop was the perfect introduction to what was to come. Truth Club followed up with their unique flavor of tense post-punk, thoughtful riffs leading toward crashing climaxes. Headliners Pool Kids came out shortly after, and at times it was hard to tell who was having more fun —the band or the crowd of fans with their arms in the air, singing along to songs from each of their three albums. Their newest release, Easier Said Than Done, is well-rounded- with tracks ranging from the twinkling pop rock that their fans know and love, all the way to deeply personal ballad territory. Their tour wraps up in early November, but not before they hit the Midwest, West Coast, and make their way back over to the Southeast Coast, landing in Florida for three dates, the first of which will take place at The Fest in Gainesville.
