“Taking care of ourselves. Eating better, fast food isn’t it”, shared Beach Goons’ frontman Pablo Cervantez when I asked about the preparations the band has been making for their first run in a chat last week!  It’s a lesson I think a lot of us learned during the pandemic but moves that are sure to be crucial as rock makes its’ return to the road. Especially for pre-pandemic road dogs like  San Diego’s Beach Goons! A  band that puts on a nonstop groove-driven punk show definitely needs to be a properly fueled up band and lucky for Boston, they’re bringing that energy to our city tonight! 

 

No strangers to Boston, the band hits Brighton Music Hall tonight with support from newcomers The Fazes, for a sure-to-be-packed show. One filled with of course tracks from their first two albums, as well as a handful of new tunes the band has been road-testing on this run. A return to the road that included the much-acclaimed Riot Fest as well as a seemingly nonstop run across the states, including a quick trip to Toronto! Boston seems to be the turning point of the tour, making their way back West after tonight with the tour rounding out October 8th with a hometown show! According to Cervantez, this is only the beginning of a rapid return to live music, creating music, all of the above!  

In the words of Cervantez after speaking about their recent Riot Fest appearance and tour, I couldn’t have put it better, “It just doesn’t feel real. Never taking it for granted ever again”. So don’t miss out and make your way to see them tonight with doors at 7, show at 8, and tickets are still available here! Maybe we’ll even get a surprise La Bamba cover again, one that destroyed their last Boston show while on tour with SWMRS! Hope to see you then!
