Editor’s note: Carlisle, Massachusetts raised indie rock singer Claire Cottrill, who performs under the moniker Clairo grew up in a town with a population just north of 5,000 people. Earlier this week she performed to close to that number of people over two sold out nights at the 2,500 capacity House of Blues in Boston. Clairo, who’s debut LP Immunity put her on the map by peaking at No. 51 on the Billboard 200, has gone from a bedroom pop artist, uploading her own songs on Bandcamp and Soundcloud to a major label artist signed to Republic Records. Her sophomore album Sling came out last July and debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 making it her highest charting release to date. Brianna Gately was on hand at the first show to capture some stunning visuals of Clairo and supporting act Arlo Parks, check those below.
