PHOTOS: Nate Smith, John Morgan in Boston, MA (11.08.24)
Back in January, we caught country singer-songwriter Nate Smith’s show at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA (in fact it was the first show New England Sounds covered in 2024). The show was his first headline show in Massachusetts at the time. Eleven months later, Smith was back in Boston, this time headlining Roadrunner. Jumping from a 525 capacity venue to a 3,500 capacity one in that short amount of time is something few artists can claim. In that time Smith has released an EP and his second full length studio album California Gold. The album is lead by platinum selling single “Bulletproof” which came out in February, though fans in attendance at Smith’s January show got a preview of it, hearing the song before it’s release.
Friday’s show at Roadrunner came just short of a total sell out but fans were packed in tightly througout both levels of the venue as he played through a sixteen song setlist. Supporting Smith on his current run of dates is singer-songwriter John Morgan who released his debut studio album last year, having previously worked as a songwriter for Jason Aldean.
