Editor’s note: Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Allison Russell made her second visit of the year to the New England area on Sunday night. After visiting Burlington, VT in late April, Russell returned to perform at Boston’s Royale in the theater district. Russell has been pretty busy recently, making her Broadway debut as Persephone in the 8-time Tony Award-winning musical Hadestown. She took over the role from November 2024 to February of this year. In March, Russell shared her newest single, “Superlover,” a song she cut with the legendary Annie Lennox. Our own Brianna Gately was in attendance at Boston show, and captured some stunning visuals of Allison’s set. Check them out below.
