Editor’s Note: In four short years, Austrailian singer-songwriter Vance Joy has gone from an unknown to a household name in the United States. His wildly successful single “Riptide” climbed to the top of the charts in multiple countries, including the USA where it has become a quadruple selling record. The song was even covered by Taylor Swift on BBC Radio 1 and inspired Swift so much, she tabbed him as direct support for most of her 1989 World Tour – one of the highest grossing concert tours of 2015. Vance Joy is now big enough that he’s headlining arenas on his own, last Friday he played Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT and Kelsey Lockhart was there on behalf of New England Sounds, see her work below. Tomorrow night, Vance will return to New England for his 3rd headline date when he plays Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston, MA.
