PHOTOS: Alex G, Nilüfer Yanya in Boston, MA (09.10.25)
Indie singer-songwriter Alex Giannascoli, who performs under the name Alex G, just put out his tenth studio album, Headlights in July via RCA Records. The record is Giannascoli’s first with RCA, after releasing his previous three records via Domino Records. Earlier in his career his music was self-released, giving him the opportunity to sometimes put out two or three releases in a single year. His earliest music was lo-fi, some of it even in the niche “chiptune” category but he has since graduated to a more mature sound with a strong 90’s influence, that’s the sound you hear on Headlights. Earlier this week he kicked off his 2025 North American tour with a pair of shows at Boston’s Roadrunner. Check out some images from night one below, including a few of opener Nilüfer Yanya.
