Editor’s note: John Oates, the legendary rocker and one-half of the acclaimed duo Hall & Oates, was back in New England earlier this month for a show at Mohegan Sun’s Cabaret Theatre. In addition to his role in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band, Oates has built an impressive solo career, producing seven studio albums. The most recent of those albums, Oates, came out just last year. At the recent Mohegan show, Oates played a number of songs from the new album, as well as a few Hall & Oates songs, and a slew of blues-rock covers.
