PHOTOS: Mastodon, Opeth, Zeal & Ardor in Boston, MA (11.18.21)
Some co-headline tours go so well that they have to happen more than once. A little more than nine years after Mastodon and Opeth joined forces for the Heritage Hunter tour the Atlanta, GA-based heavy metal band and Swedish progressive metal outfit have teamed up again to cross North America for an in-your-face metal tour. Mastodon are out in support of their eighth studio album, Hushed and Grim, which came out just before Halloween. The album is Mastodon’s longest record to date and was released as a double LP, it reached No. 20 on the Billboard 200 and went all the way to No. 1 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart. The first single from the album, “Pushing the Tides” has also seen success on its own, earning the band a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance. We were in attendance at the Boston, MA show and captured some visual from the night’s performances. Check them out below.
